Allow users to generate a shareable, public-facing preview URL for unpublished landing pages — similar to the share links offered by Figma, Notion, and Webflow. The link should be viewable without logging into Instant.so and should be accessible to external tools (i.e., not blocked by robots.txt).
The Problem The current builder URL (app.instant.so/builder/...) requires authentication and is blocked by robots.txt. This makes it impossible to:
Share the unpublished page with collaborators, clients, or stakeholders who don't have an Instant.so account
Have the page reviewed by external AI assistants (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) for copy QA, factual accuracy, brand voice, and SEO checks
Use third-party tools (accessibility checkers, SEO auditors, screenshot tools, etc.) on the page before publishing
Why This Matters The AI-generated landing page feature is a major time-saver, but the generated output sometimes contains factual errors—incorrect product specs, inconsistent shipping or return claims, inaccurate material descriptions, etc. Catching these before publishing is critical, especially for e-commerce brands where inaccurate copy can lead to returns, chargebacks, and FTC compliance issues.
Many users (myself included) rely on AI assistants trained on their brand voice and product data to review marketing copy before it goes live. Without a public preview URL, the only workaround is taking screenshots and pasting them into the AI tool—which is slow, fragmented, and loses important page structure and context.
Proposed Solution Add a "Share preview link" option in the builder, similar to the publish flow, that generates:
A unique, unguessable URL (e.g., preview.instant.so/[hash] or [user-subdomain].instant.so/preview/[hash])
Publicly viewable without authentication
Not blocked by robots.txt
Optional: toggle to expire the link after X days, or revoke it manually
Optional: password protection for sensitive client work
Use Cases
Ecommerce sellers running AI-assisted QA on product landing pages
Agencies sharing drafts with clients for approval
Founders getting feedback from advisors, partners, or beta users
SEO and accessibility audits before launch
Side-by-side comparison of multiple page variants during testing
This would meaningfully improve the pre-launch workflow and bring Instant.so in line with the sharing standards users already expect from modern SaaS builders.
Thanks for considering. I am happy to provide more detail or test a beta version if helpful.
