I would also love this or similar feature: To have product tags available to control things. Use cases could be showing Icons or elements based on a Tag “Sale“ or to use it for filtering.
Right now the workaround is to use metafields. Since I have multiple elements, that show up on certain conditions, I have to use multiple metafields, which make my product management quit complicated.
