Currently we can’t add discounts to the upsell section in the cart. That makes the upsell in cart worthless. We need to be able to add discounts to make the offer attractive.
The Upsell section in the cart only allows us to show products with the original price as set on the pdp. What we would want is the option to offer discounts on the products being shown in the upsell section to incentivise the customer to add the product to cart. Without a discount, an upsell in the cart will have a bad conversion rate.

Could you elaborate your question? Currently it is not clear to me exactly what you are looking for. The title seems to point to discounts, but I also can interpret it as if you want a subscription toggle?
Discounts are added within Shopify. So if they’d add a discounted product when it’s combined with x or y for example it’ll automagically apply.
